Tzitzifriki[a] is an audio-visual duo which performs and produces sonic and visual material. The creative process is equally based on music and image, creating this way a co-dependant relationship between both mediums.
Tzitzifriki follows and records sounds from his everyday life, and mashes them into a percussive environment. This rhythmic structure becomes a foundation for guitar and vocals. All this interacts and connects with a text, sound and visual archive [a] which also documents and derives from everyday surroundings. Both music and videos/images and texts are assembled live, creating a unified audio-visual set.
This collaboration started in 2018 based on their common need for working together and creating material that carries their personal "charge " / burden, and to share it honestly and effortlessly with the world.
We are Marina Fragkioudaki and Sotiris ZIliaskopoulos.
